TILGHMAN, Md. - A Talbot County home was heavily damaged by a fire spotted by a neighbor shortly after midnight Wednesday morning.

According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the fire broke out in the attic of the home at 21472 Wharf Road in Tilghman.

Crews from the Tilghman Volunteer Fire Company responded and had the fire under control in about 40 minutes.
