Salisbury Man Gets 40 Years for Home Invasion

SALISBURY, Md.- A 21-year-old Salisbury man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison in connection with a 2018 home invasion that left two elderly women injured. 

According to the Wicomico County State's Attorney's Office, Darrell Leonard Mainor was sentenced to the Division of Corrections for one count of  first-degree burglary and one count of first-degree assault

A Wicomico County Circuit Court jury convicted Mainor after a two-day trial on
July 17.

Prosecutors said that on July 23, 2018, Mainor broke into a home in the 500 block of Christopher Street in Salisbury and physically attacked two women, ages 81 and 90 respectively.

One of the women suffered broken facial bones and other injuries. The other women fell to the floor during the assault.
