DelDOT: Expect Delays for Dewey Beach Clydesdale Parade

DEWEY BEACH, Del.-The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) says the right lane on Route 1 southbound will be closed to traffic for the Dewey Beach Clydesdale Parade.
 
The parade will begin on Swedes St., at 6:30 p.m. on Wed., July 24, until 7:30 p.m., on Van Dyke Avenue.
 
Th town of Dewey Beach says parking is free on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. for family-friendly events and urges the public to come early for the parade.
 
DelDOT's Transportation Management Center (TMC) will be monitoring and making adjustments to the signals in this area. DelDOT staff will be working with the police department and will be placing message boards on Route 1 for motorists.
