197 Junior Anglers Participate in 15th Annual Kids Classic

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md.- Organizers say that despite a heat wave, approximately 197 junior anglers (48 boats and three children who fished from shore) participated in last Saturday's 15th Annual Kids Classic in Ocean City.

The Ocean City Marlin Club, which put on the event, said it raised $2,100 for the Wish-A-Fish Foundation, Inc. through private donations at registration on Friday, July 19. The Ocean City Marlin Club funded five headboats and hosted a banquet on Saturday for the Wish-A-Fish Foundation, Inc. which hosts fishing events for special needs children and their families.
