Pair Arrested for Multiple Sussex County Car Break-Ins

SUSSEX COUNTY, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects in connection with multiple thefts in mid-July from motor vehicles around Sussex County.

According to police, troopers received reports of thefts in various developments within the Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Selbyville, and Frankford areas.

During the investigations, it was determined that the suspect(s) removed several credit cards and debit cards and used them at various business establishments in Sussex County.

Police say they were able to identify Jeffrey P. Imle, 27, and Alexandra M. Anderson, 24, of Frankford, as the two suspects..

On Wednesday morning, Troop 4, Criminal Investigations Unit responded with a search warrant to Anderson’s home in the 34000 block of Virginia Drive in Frankford.

According to police, Imle and Anderson were both inside and initially refused to leave.

Imle also would reportedly not allow Anderson’s mother who was inside the residence to leave. 

Eventually Imle and Anderson were taken into custody without further incident. 

Police say Imle was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.  A search warrant was also obtained for the residence and numerous stolen items were found, according to police.

Imle and Anderson were transported back to Troop 4 where they were charged with the following:

Jeffrey Imle:

  • Identity Theft (3 counts)
  • Theft-Felony (6 counts)
  • Theft (9 counts)
  • Unlawful Use of a Credit Card (3 counts)
  • Criminal Trespass 3rd (13 counts)
  • Conspiracy 2nd (7 counts)
  • Conspiracy 3rd (2 counts)
  • Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Imle was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $49,013 secured bond.

Alexandra Anderson:

  • Identity Theft (3 counts)
  • Theft-Felony (6 counts)
  • Conspiracy 2nd (7 counts)
  • Conspiracy 3rd (2 counts)
  • Theft (9 counts)
  • Unlawful Use of a Credit Card (3 counts)
  • Criminal Trespass 3rd (13 counts)

Anderson was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $50,513 secured bond.
