Search for Suspect in Dover Grocery Store Holdup

DOVER, Del.- Police in Dover are looking for a suspect who robbed a grocery store Wednesday night.

According to police, just before 9 p.m. the male suspect, who has not yet been identified, entered the Save-A-Lot store on South Bay Road, displayed a gun and demanded cash from an employee.

The employee complied, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The man was last seen running across South Bay Road and into the parking lot of the Blue Hen Corporate Center in a northeast direction, police said.

The man is believed to be in his 20s. He was described as wearing an opaque face mask, a dark blue Polo brand hooded sweatshirt with a red Polo horse on the chest, dark pants and black shoes with white soles, according to police.

A cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
