Crisfield High School Nurse Arrested on Child Sex Charges

Samantha Marsh

CRISFIELD, Md. - On Tuesday, 33-year-old Samantha Marsh pleaded guilty to performing sexual acts on three students from Crisfield High School while employed as the school's nurse.

Marsh waived her right to a jury trial, confessing to her actions with three 17-year-old students and pleaded guilty to three fourth-degree sex offense charges.

Marsh was originally charged with 19 offenses for alleged sexual acts with four students.  But as a part of the plea, Marsh could face up to three years in jail and a $3,000 fine.

Somerset County State's Attorney Wes Garner read a narrative in court on Tuesday that detailed each sexual act with those three students.  Even stating that Marsh initially told police she had feelings for one of the teenage students, but thought against pursuing a relationship because of her children.

Marsh's husband was with her in the courtroom on Tuesday, plugging his ears with his fingers to avoid hearing the details from Garner's narrative.

Garner's narrative to the judge also revealed that Marsh was eventually investigated by police after a nude photo was airdropped to other students at the high school.

The judge delayed Marsh's sentencing until Aug. 20 to review a new psychological evaluation and two victim impact statements.
