SALISBURY, Md.- A Willards man was convicted by a Wicomico County jury Wednesday on charges including the distribution of cocaine.

According to the Office of the State's Attorney, on Nov. 7, 2017, Donald Tate, Jr. delivered six ounces of cocaine in Wicomico County in exchange for $7,200 in order to finance a murder-for-hire plot that resulted in the shooting of two people in Accomack County, Va. on Oct. 31, 2017.

Tate's sentencing has been postponed pending the completion of a pre-sentence investigation.

He's scheduled to appear in court for sentencing Sept. 17.
