SALISBURY, Md.- Maryland Natural Resources Police have released the names of two men who died last week after the boat they were on struck a pier on the Wicomico River.
The victims were identified as Juan Carlos Ojeda Damian, 37, and 46-year-old Adalberto "Gonzalo" Perez Perez, 46, according to NRP spokesperson Capt. Melissa Scarborough.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 when a boat struck a pier at 5292 Safe Harbor Way, southwest of downtown Salisbury.
Four other people who were involved in the crash were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released, Scarborough said.
This investigation into the accident is ongoing.
