Ocean City Woman Arrested After Robbing Home Twice

FRANKFORD, De. - An Ocean City woman is under Delaware State Police custody after robbing the save home twice.

On Thursday night, DSP troopers were dispatched to a home near Star Lane and Peppers Corner Road in Frankford for an apparent burglary in progress. Police say the homeowner was holding 42 year-old Maureen E. Gray at gunpoint, who sustained minor injuries during a struggle at the home. Gray was transported to Beebe Medical Center where she was later treated and released. The homeowners were not injured in the incident.

Police say an investigation revealed Gray had entered the home through an unlocked front door while two people were still inside. A woman found Gray standing in the bathroom behind the door and immediately screamed for her boyfriend who obtained a rifle. A scuffle followed between the two and Gray. Property was damaged as Gray tried to flee.

Police say the same home was robbed exactly one week ago when there was no one home. At the time, a house-sitter said she heard a building alarm going off. When she looked outside, she found Gray and told her to leave the property. Later, police say property belonging to the home's front porch had been taken.

Gray is currently being charged with multiple counts of 2nd degree burglary, theft, and reckless endangerment among others.

Gray was arraigned and committed to Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on a $14,700 cash-only bond.
