Updated: Police ID Two Killed in Del. Plane Crash

NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del.- Delaware State Police have released the names of the two people killed in a Sunday morning plane crash in New Castle County.

Police identified the victims as the pilot, 52-year-old Terrence Daniels of Philadelphia, and instructor, 79-year-old Albert Dohring of Middletown, Del.

Troopers say the preliminary investigation shows a Beech Craft 55 Baron crashed into a wooded area just west of I95 in the area of Churchmans Road shortly before 9 a.m.  The plane had taken off from the New Castle County Airport.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene including more than a dozen fire departments, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, and the Division of Forensic Science.

Police said the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Transportation Safety Board are still investigating the crash.
