Suspect Sought in Easton Attempted Armed Robbery

EASTON, Md.- Police are looking for a suspect wanted for the attempted holdup of an Easton gas station. 

Easton police said the incident happened at around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday at the Crown Station located at 301 N. Washington St.

According to police, a review of the surveillance video of the crime showed a large black male armed with a black semi-automatic weapon enter the store and asking for money. 

Police said that at this point the victim began yelling and screaming at the suspect and pulled out a stick from behind the counter. The victim continued to yell at the suspect and then started toward him with the stick, according to police. The suspect then left the store without taking anything.

Police said the suspect appeared to be wearing a salmon-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts and a black ski mask.

Anyone with information about this incident or who was in the area at around the time when the crime happened is asked to call Easton Police Department detectives at 410-822-1111.
