Downtown Salisbury Businesses Affected by Water Shutoff

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - This morning many residents and workers in downtown Salisbury had to deal with a water shutoff due to construction in south division and main street.

This resulted in businesses like SBY Coffee, Sushi De Kanpai and Old Towne Deli to temporarily close.

The owner of Old Towne Deli, was preparing for what would be a regular Friday morning, until he noticed something unusual.

"When we got in this morning there was no water...it was when I went to wash my hands...I was like OK...something's not right here...we had inter minute outages....we'd have water then there won't be water," said Vicente Hernandez, the owner.

The water came back up and running around 10 a.m. and downtown businesses were able to have stores up and running back to normal.
