H20i is a No Show at Endless Summer Cruisin'

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md.- It was a seemingly calm weekend at the Endless Summer Cruisin' car event in Ocean City. Rumors of people returning from the unsanctioned H20i event created a buzz in the area.

The city was prepared for any possible chaos by putting special event zones into place. The speed limit was lowered to 30 MPH, fines for violations were increased, and there was a strong police presence.

"I think the police had it under control this weekend. They did a pretty good job of taking care of things," said Russ White.

Cruisers and visitors weren't very worried about H20i returning. The bigger concern this weekend was high water from the tidal flooding, but the cruisers worked their way around it.

People said the flooding made things a little more difficult, but the event worked out very well. From 10th street down to the inlet, there is still some flooding in the streets.

We also found a private Facebook event post, and according to the post. H20i type cars will return to Ocean City next year on September 25th.
