Posted: Updated:

MILFORD, Del - Authorities say a Felton man has been arrested and charged with reckless endangering after shooting at and hitting a vehicle in Milford.

Milford police say the shooting happened on Oct. 11 in the 1000 block of South Walnut Street. Police say a shot was fired towards a Chevrolet Traverse, striking a rear fender. No one in the vehicle was hurt.

The department reports the investigation led them to Linwood G. Owens, 30, of Felton.  A warrant was issued for Owens but officers were unable to find him Friday evening.

On Sunday, troopers from the Delaware State Police found Owens in Felton, took him into custody, and turned him over to Milford police.

Owens has been charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, two counts of first-degree Reckless Endanger, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by Person Prohibited, and Criminal Mischief Over $1,000.

Owens was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $34,000 cash.

Owens has been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday for a preliminary hearing.
