Flooding Recedes, But Continues to Remain an Issue in Crisfield Monday Morning

CRISFIELD, Md. - Parts of Delmarva are still drying out Monday after seeing some serious tidal flooding over the weekend. It all started back on Thursday when a subtropical storm stalled off our coast.

Crisfield was one of the areas impacted by tidal flooding. A lot of the water had receded by Monday morning, but flooding still remained an issue on secondary streets like Cove Street, and in people's backyards.

"I'm going to work on Cove Street, but with the water being so high I can't get to it, so I called my boss and he's trying to get someone to pick me up so I can get to work," said Linda Evans.

George Friedley was dealing with flooding in his backyard on Chesapeake Avenue.

"You can see that at least for five houses, it's nothing but a pond," said Friedley.

Somerset County Public Schools are closed Monday due to the flooding.
