Hartly Man Facing Charges After Police Find Heroin, Marijuana and a Stolen Handgun

DOVER, Del. - A Hartly man is facing drug and weapons charges after Delaware State Police said they found heroin, marijuana and stolen handgun in his possession.

According to DSP, members of the Governor's Task Force learned 28-year-old Roy G. Kolaco was allegedly distributing illegal drugs. He was on probation at the time.

In September, police said they tried to pull Kolaco over but he didn't stop for police. Officers then received a warrant for motor vehicle violations and running from police. On Thursday, Kolaco reported to the Dover Probation and Parole office, where he was arrested.

DSP said police found 119 bags of heroin in his car. After searching his home in Hartly with a warrant, police also said they found 129 bags of heroin, more than 10 grams of marijuana, and more than $400 in suspected drug proceeds. Police also said they found a loaded handgun that was reported stolen.

Kolaco was charged with eight drug, weapon and traffic related offenses. He was arraigned and committed to SCI on a $26,001 secured bond.
