GOLDSBORO, Md.- Authorities say a suspicious package that brought out a bomb squad to a Caroline County home turned out to be just a gift.
The Goldsboro Fire Department said that on Sunday evening firefighters were called to a home on New Street in Goldsboro for a report of a suspicious package found inside a mailbox.
Bomb technicians were called to the scene to investigate the contents within the package, which was later determined not to be a threat. The Caroline County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
Officials say the contents within the package was actually a gift for the resident of the home.
No arrests or damages were reported from the incident.
