Cambridge Police Investigating Murder of 32-Year-Old Cambridge Man

CAMBRIDGE, Md.- A shooting in Cambridge led to the death of a 32-year-old man.

Thursday, police say officers responded to the 800 block of Allen Street for reports of a person being shot. 

Upon arrival, officers say they identified the victim as 32-year-old Tavaar Chester of Cambridge unresponsive. Chester was later transported to University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester where he was pronounced dead. 

Police say they are investigating this as a murder, and are asking for anyone with information to contact the detectives at the Cambridge Police Department at 410-228-3333. 

Police say they will release more information as it comes out.

    A boys basketball game between Cape Henlopen and Sussex Tech high schools devolved into a three-on-three contest after a bench-clearing brawl, and only three of those players were left on the court at the buzzer.

    Thursday night's game ended with only one player on the court for Cape Henlopen and two for Sussex Tech. Sussex Tech won the game 63-62.
