Lewes Mobile Home Fire Leaves Man Injured

LEWES, Del.- The Delaware State Fire Marshal is now investigating a Friday afternoon fire in Lewes that critically injured one person. The fire was reported around 5p.m. around the 33000 block of Matthew Circle off Route 24.

Firefighters arrived on the scene where there was an active fire in a mobile home. A 73-year-old man was critically injured in the fire and was flown to the Christian Hospital after suffering burns. There were no other injuries reported.

Deputy fire marshals are now on scene and are searching for the fire's origin and cause. 

The fire damaged an estimated $25,000 of property.
