Man Seriously Injured in Milton Home Invasion

MILTON, Del.- Police are looking for three suspects wanted in connection with a late Sunday night home invasion in Milton that left an elderly man seriously injured. 

Delaware State Police said the incident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. at a home located in the 24000 block of Milton-Ellendale Highway.

Police said three unknown male suspects entered the home through a rear door and once inside went into a bedroom where they made contact with a 73-year-old man who was sleeping. Troopers said the suspects began demanding money and assaulted the victim, striking him with handguns.  The suspects proceeded to ransack the kitchen and took an undisclosed amount of cash and a laptop computer prior to fleeing the scene, according to police. 

The victim was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries.

The suspects were described as three black males armed with handguns, police said.
