Rehoboth in Bloom Replaces Flowers with Fall Trees

Updated:

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The first year of Rehoboth in Bloom is not coming to a close despite the season change. Flowers have been in planters in front of businesses on the first block of Wilmington, Rehoboth, and Baltimore avenues since May.

Rehoboth in Bloom is a Rehoboth Beach Main Street project to beautify downtown Rehoboth.

Volunteers replaced them with fall trees on Tuesday morning. Around Christmas time they’ll add a bow to the top.

"We had about 22 volunteers who took care of the planters and the flowers in all the heat," says Rehoboth in Bloom Founder Cindy Lovett. "They did a great job and we're now transitioning to fall so we've removed the flowers and we've created these trees."

"We want this community to thrive, so we're doing a lot of different things to drive business downtown to advance through the beautification of Rehoboth in Bloom," says Rehoboth Beach Main Street Executive Director Dan Slagle.

Rehoboth in Bloom hopes to expand next spring, but it needs more volunteers. To volunteer call Rehoboth Beach Main Street at 302-227-2772 or reach out to Rehoboth in Bloom on Facebook.
