Family Seeks Answers in Desperate Search for Missing Harrington Woman

Donna Miller.

HARRINGTON, Del.- The family of a Harrington woman who disappeared last week says her body was discovered Tuesday afternoon by police.

Theresa Miller, the sister-in-law of 61-year-old Donna Miller, said police had confirmed to her and relatives that Donna Miller was found deceased.

Delaware State Police in a press release Tuesday night did confirm that at around 3p.m. that day the body of an adult had been discovered in a ditch at a farm located in the 8000 block of Vernon Road in Harrington.

The body was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death. However, police said the victim’s identity is unknown at this time.

Earl Brode, a Harrington Police Department spokesman, said Tuesday night he could not confirm the identity of the deceased person, though he said the person's clothing matched the general description of Donna Miller.

Miller's family last week raised alarm about her disappearance, saying she suffered from dementia and only spoke a couple words.
