DOVER, Del.- A new mural depicting the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware is now on display in Dover.

The mural was unveiled Friday at the Biggs Museum of American Art. It captures the history, customs, and spiritual traditions of the Lenape in Delaware.

"There's no timeline and it's everlasting. The way we created this, this will outlive all of us for the next seven generations at least," said Marietta Dantonio-Madsen, an associate professor at Cheney University in Pennsylvania who helped spearhead the project.

Cheney said she is working to have prints made of the mural so they can be sold to help raise money for a community center sought by the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware on its land north of Dover.
