Dover Recognizes Veterans Day

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del.- Hundreds gathered Monday in Dover to honor former service members during a Veterans Day ceremony.

The event was held at the Kent County Veterans Memorial Park in Dover and paid tribute to veterans who have served in the U.S. military.

"It's important to recognize those who served who put their lives on the line, who go through great difficulty for years at a time in order to allow us to sleep soundly in our beds," said Dave Skocik with the Delaware Veterans Coalition.

The event saw wreaths placed at the park to honor the service of veterans who worked to protect the country.
