Investigators: 'Child Fire Play' Caused Salisbury Apartment Fire

SALISBURY, Md.- "Child fire play" has been ruled the cause of an apartment fire that happened Saturday in Salisbury. 

Firefighters from the Salisbury Fire Department were called to the two-story apartment building on Brookridge Drive shortly after 5:30 p.m.

According to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal, the fire started in a second floor bedroom.

It was controlled in about 10 minutes, investigators said.

No injuries were reported, but the fire did cause an estimated $6,000 in damage, according to investigators.
