State Police Investigating Weekend Shooting in Dover

DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police are investigating a Saturday morning shooting in Dover that left one man injured.

Police responded to a local hospital Nov. 16 around 10:30 a.m. for a man with a gunshot wound. Troopers said they met with a 38-year-old man.

The shooting is said to have occurred in the area of South State Street and Lakeland Avenue.

Police say the man was walking northbound on South State Street when he was approached by two men walking southbound.  As they passed the victim, police say words were exchanged and the victim heard one gunshot which struck him.

The suspects were described as black males, according to police.
