Salisbury Man Goes to Prison After Pleading Guilty to Drug Charges, Probation Violation

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md.- A Wicomico County man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl and tramadol, and to violating probation.

On Nov. 14, Eugene Baugh, 50, of Salisbury, pleaded guilty to possession and for violating probation for a first-degree burglary conviction.

Wicomico County Circuit Court Judge Matthew A. Maciarello sentenced Baugh to 14 years of active incarceration for the drug charges and 10 years for the violation of probation.

The sentences will run concurrently.

When Baugh is released, he will be supervised on probation for three years.

According to prosecutors, the investigation began on Feb. 15 when Wicomico County sheriff's deputies executed a search and seizure warrant at Baugh’s home on Airport Road in Salisbury.

Deputies reported finding fentanyl mixed with tramadol, as well as paraphernalia and other evidence indicative of the sale and distribution of narcotics.

Baugh admitted to having sold narcotics during the weeks preceding the execution of the search warrant, according to authorities.

Baugh was on supervised probation at the time of arrest for a March 2012 Wicomico County first-degree burglary conviction in which he had broken into a home and stole $5,500 worth of property.
