DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police on Monday hosted a meeting in Kent County allowing residents to comment on traffic issues seen around the Troop 3 area, which includes most of central Delaware.

The meeting was held at Troop 3 in the Camden area and primarily consisted of an open forum for people to speak with troopers about traffic problems like speeding or inattentive driving seen in their communities.

"It’s an opportunity for the citizens to express their concerns that they have in Troop 3’s areas," said DSP spokeswoman Cpl. Melissa Jaffe prior to the meeting.

DSP said there have been more than 2,300 crashes in the Troop 3 jurisdictional area in 2019 with 3,908 traffic arrests with 682 of offenses being related to speed.
