Gunshots Hit Occupied Dover Home

DOVER, Del.- Dover police are investigating after an occupied home was struck by gunfire early Tuesday morning. 

Police said that at around 4:30 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Roberta Avenue for a report of multiple shots fired.  Upon arrival, officers located several shell casings on the roadway and found that a home in the 500 block of Roberta Avenue had been struck multiple times.  Police said that while the home was occupied by several people at the time, nobody was hurt.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.  Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delawarecrimestoppers.com; a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.

    Smyrna police say a lengthy investigation has led to the arrests of two people for human trafficking and prostitution. 

    Police said that on Monday morning, Dec. 9, detectives  executed search warrants on a home in the 100 block of Holly Ridge Drive and at the Kiki Spa, located on East Commerce Street in Smyrna.  

    Officers took James Walls, 61, and Sha Shen, 64, both of Smyrna, into custody.
