Black Friday Brings Shoppers to Salisbury Stores

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - The holiday festivities continue with the biggest shopping day of the year. Black Friday brought thousands of eager shoppers to Salisbury.

And one of the best places to find holiday deals - Vernon Powell Shoes.

For many shoppers, it was a Black Friday well spent. And for owners too, it's time and money gained well past the biggest day of the year to shop.

"They seem to all come out at the same time," said Stacie Dees, vice president of Vernon Powell Shoes. "It's certainly a big day for us and this year with it being a shorter window between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I think every week, it's going to be busy."

This year, Black Friday shoppers will have spent about $87 billion on deals.
