Md. Fire Marshal: Arson Suspected in Princess Anne House Fire

PRINCESS ANNE, Md.- A fire that damaged a Somerset County home is being investigated as a case of arson.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said a neighbor reported the fire at a vacant house at 12028 Somerset Ave. in Princess Anne shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators said the fire was intentionally ignited by an incendiary device on the rear porch.

Firefighters from the Princess Anne Fire Department had the fire under control in about an hour.

Damage to the home was estimated to be $75,000.
