HARRINGTON, Del.- Harrington police have arrested a woman accused of stealing from her employer over a two-month period.

April L. Iverson, 35, of Wyoming, Del., was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with theft over $1,500, theft under $1,500, second-degree forgery and three counts of unlawful use of a payment card under $1,500.

Police said that last month the department was contacted by the owner of a business on Clukey Drive in Harrington. According to police, the owner reported that Iverson, who was an employee of the business, had been making unauthorized purchases.

During the course of the investigation police said they determined that Iverson wrote checks to herself from the victim’s business account and also made credit card and debit card purchases using the victim’s cards. Police said these transactions were done on multiple occasions in October and November, allegedly without the victim’s permission.

Police obtained warrants for Inverson's arrest on the aforementioned charges. She was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $3,500 unsecured bond.
