Salisbury Drug Dealer Sentenced to Prison

SALISBURY, Md.- A 23-year-old Salisbury man has been sentenced to 25 years behind bars after being convicted on drug dealing and firearms charges.

On Thursday, Dec. 12, Raevon Wheeless appeared in Wicomico County Circuit Court where he was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to one count of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and one count of illegal possession of a firearm.

Prosecutors said that in January of this year, members of the Maryland State Police Fugitive Unit went to the 5700 block of Rip Wil Drive in Salsibury to serve two outstanding controlled dangerous substance warrants on Wheeless. Officers located Wheeless in the home and a subsequent search of the home resulted in the recovery of two handguns, cocaine, marijuana, and ammunition.
