SEAFORD, Del.- Delaware State Police say a 58-year-old Seaford man is facing Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, and related charges stemming from a domestic incident.

Troopers responded to a domestic dispute shortly after 6 p.m. Friday at the 14000 block of County Seat Highway in Seaford.

After investigating, officers say Brad Rippey, 58, of Seaford got into an argument with a 44-year-old woman inside the home that eventually turned physical.

Police say during the incident, Rippey grabbed a pump action shotgun from inside of a bedroom and cocked the weapon, causing alarm to the 26-year-old man and two other children inside the home.

Officers recovered the shotgun immediately when they arrived to the home. There were no serious injuries as a result of the incident, according to police.

Troopers say Rippey was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex County Correctional Institution on $22,200 secured bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
