DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police are looking for two suspects in a home invasion robbery that occurred Saturday evening in Dover.

Troopers say at approximately 11:53 p.m Saturday, a 25-year-old man was alone in his home,  located in the unit block of Kentwood Drive when he told police he heard a knock at his door.

When the man, assuming it was his roommate who forgot his house key, opened the door, two men armed with handguns forcibly entered the home and demanded cash, according to police.

Officers say one suspect ordered the victim to the ground at gunpoint and then proceeded to beat him, while the second suspect searched the rest of the home.

Troopers say after obtaining miscellaneous property and an undisclosed amount of cash, both suspects left the home.

Police say the victim described the suspects as black men wearing all dark clothing and in possession of handguns.

Delaware State Police says the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should call Detective J. Buzzuro of the Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit at (302)-698-8502.
