The town of Millsboro is about to get even more beautiful. That's because the Greater Millsboro Art League is collaborating with local artist groups.
The group decided to expand the art offered at the league, starting with textiles.
"There's a class going on. All this activity is a beginner quilter class and it's mostly people who have never quilted before or just have minimal experience," said board member Suzanne Worrall.
The class not only brings in new artists, but helps current artists expand their skills.
"We've been having so much fun learning about different colors and how to match them and make them look good together. And of course learning techniques of sewing, so we've really been having a good time," said Nancy Schechtman.
Millsboro Art League will be holding more unique classes.
"There's a fuse jewelry class coming up which is going to be kind of fun there is a Ukrainian egg painting class," said Worrall.
The art league is hoping to continue to host classes for people of all ages. Members are holding a quarter auction in March to help fund the classes.
