Recipe from Myrna Taggart of OH
2 cups milk
1 beaten egg
2 cups old -fashioned rolled oats
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp.baking soda
Heat milk to lukewarm, add beaten egg. Stir in rolled oats. Let stand for 30 minutes until
oats are softened and liquid is absorbed. Add baking soda and salt, mix until blended. Drop a dipper full onto a hot griddle that oil has been applied to. Cook until bubbles form on the top, then turn and brown the other side. Serve with butter and jam, syrup or warm applesauce.
