Carey Elected Dover Mayor

DOVER, Del. - Dover City Councilman Carleton Carey is scheduled to take the oath October 8th as Dover's new mayor.

He received 959 votes to defeat eight other candidates in Tuesday's special election.

Carey's election means the city will hold a special election to fill his council seat between 30 and 60 days after he takes the oath of office.
