Marlon Wallace was born in Philadelphia. The 27-year-old Air Force brat has lived all over the United States, seen many different places and people. He settled in Dover, Del., where he attended Wesley College and earned his bachelor's degree in English.
Marlon has always been an avid writer. In a high school film course, the notebook of which he still has 10 years later, Marlon was shown the classic film "Citizen Kane" and given an assignment to write his first movie review and from that point on has never looked back.
He minored in film, television and media. He briefly studied in southeast Pennsylvania where he volunteered and participated with the Philadelphia Film Festival, the biggest festival of its kind in the Northeast. As a member of the Philadelphia Film Society, he gets the opportunity to see a wealth of movies before the general public, which he would love to share with Delmarva. He estimates that he watches a minimum of 150 movies a year.
Marlon also worked as a film projectionist at the Schwartz Center, a local cinema that hosts movies, musicals and other stage acts. He has also volunteered for other local stage companies as finds enjoyment in all kinds of theaters. His love of visual storytelling is abundant.
Over the past year, Marlon has gotten involved with other local organizations such as the Rehoboth Beach Film Society and the Salisbury-Wicomico Arts Council in order to understand and be a part of the entire Delmarva entertainment scene.
