Bob or B.B.K.

My family and I are really going to miss you.  Not to bust on the other weather people, but you are the only one that thinks it should rain during the spring and summer.  I think you are the only one we have never lost our temper with.  Thanks for all the great years, and forecasting all those great thunderstorms when corn is tasseling.  B.B.K. you're the man.

Congratulations on retirement, Dad!

It's amazing to see all these heartfelt and supportive comments from people who truly relied on your forecasts each and every day (until recently, then just on the weekends and when Dennis was on vacation). Sometimes having a weatherman in the family blinded me to just how vital your work is to thousands of poeple's lives each day.

It's also an inspiration to us newcomers to the real world to know that you have put in an entire career doing what you love to do, and what you have dreamed of doing since you were seven. I know you're going to enjoy some lazy days on the back porch in New Hampshire, you deserve 'em.

Bob,

You will be greatly missed!  You ARE the most accurate meteorologist!  If we need to know what the weather conditions are going to be, we are sure to watch what you have to say, around our house if "Bob said it....it's true!"  Have a great retirement and thank you for many years of accurate forecasts!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bob,

I just wanted to say that you were a big influence on my life. I
decided to become a meteorologist because of seeing you on
TV. I decided to go to Penn State University because of your
suggestions in my job of shadowing you. I'm sorry to see you
go!

Katie Collins, B.S. Penn State University,

former meteorological intern at WBOC

Bob,

Best wishes with your retirement.  I often enjoyed watching on the weekends when you did the weather.  It will be sad not seeing you on tv with your pleasant personality.  I hope you enjoy your retirement.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bob you were always the weather man we could count on to get the forecast, and you got it right most of the time. We will miss seeing you on the broadcast.

Good luck in retirement, Jeff & Candy Bryant

My 3 year old son knows that mommy must watch the weather daily. He looked at the tv recently and said "Hey, that man looks like PopPop". I giggled and thought that might be a first for you. J Best wishes for a happy, healthy retirement!

Congratulations on your retirement, BBK! The time you spent helping me and other Salisbury students improve upon our weather knowledge is much appreciated. The Delmarva Peninsula will miss your smiling face. Enjoy spending time with your family; now you can go watch Laura's soccer games!

Good luck,

Bob, as all the people before have said, you WILL be missed.  I personally have enjoyed your forecasts for thirteen years and do hope your replacement will be at least half as accurate and devoted as you. Best regards and enjoy your retirement.

OMG (oh my gosh) Bob I freakin' love you!!! I can't believe you're leaving WBOC...I'm going to miss you on the TV

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bob,

We will miss you and your take on the weather.  We moved here in Jan. 07 and have enjoyed your broadcasts ever since.  While it will be a loss for all of Delmarva, it will be great for you.  Be sure that you make the best of retirement.

Fondly,
