SALISBURY, Md. - WBOC and FOX21 are pleased to welcome Scott Abraham as their new Sports Director.

Abraham, a graduate of Syracuse University, comes to Delmarva most recently from Utica, NY where he worked in the Sports Department at WKTV.  He also worked as a Sports Reporter/Anchor in KHAS-TV in Hastings, NE where he received two, first place awards in 2006 from the Nebraska Press Association.

"Scott is going to be a great addition to our team," says News Director John Dearing.  "He brings a lot of experience and knowledge of sports.  I'm sure Delmarva will enjoy watching his sports report."

Dearing adds that Abraham has already started an educational sport series called "U Can Do Sports," which highlights all different sports such as bowling or golf.  Dearing says each segment will teach at least one aspect of each sport that the casual sports enthusiast may not know.  For instance, Abraham may show how to line up a golf putt or how to keep score in bowling.

"I'm excited to show our viewers all kinds of interesting tidbits with U Can Do Sports," says Abraham.  "And it won't always be the most common sports.  Yes, you'll see baseball and football, but I'll also show you ping pong, cricket and jousting to name a few."

U Can Do Sports segments will air weekdays on WBOC News at Six or Seven.  The segments will also be posted under the Sports section on www.wboc.com.

WBOC and FOX21 are locally owned and operated by Draper Holdings, which also owns WBOC Interactive and Loblolly, L.L.C.
