SALISBURY, Md.- Followers of the Baha'i faith celebrated a holy day on Monday.
Believers celebrated the Birth of the Bab. The Bab is the founder of the religious movement that spurred Baha'ism.
Members do not believe in having clergy or celebrating with ritualistic worship. So they often spend holy days doing community service. Members said that is because their purpose is to serve others.
"The Baha'i faith's primary purpose is to bring God's message," said Bez Mazloon, a local believer. "Apply it to the needs of the world and bring this peace that we're all yearning for."
