Forecast Updated by Meteorologist Mike Lichniak on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 4:00pm.
Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy with a stray shower possible, but not likely. Lows: 30-40. Winds: W-NW 5-15 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny and cooler, compared to Saturday. Highs: 40-50. Winds: NW 10-20 mph.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear. Lows: 29-36. Winds: SW 2-8 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs: 57-66. Winds: SW 6-12 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny and Warm! Highs: 60-70. Winds: W 5-15 mph.
A quiet pattern for the next few days as high pressure settles into the region. Before the high pressure arrives late on Sunday, we still have a slight chance of a shower late Saturday night. A weak disturbance swings into the region from our north. I think it will just bring us a lot of cloud cover overnight, but it will mainly be dry. The one difference, Sunday's temperatures will be dropped a good 5-10 degrees thanks to it compared to Saturday.
Once high pressure settles into the region, things will actually warm up across Delmarva to above average for mid-March! Highs on Monday and Tuesday will jump into the 60s for many of us, with a couple neighborhoods flirting with 70?? Wednesday and Thursday's forecast still looks very interesting on the long-range computer models, but I am still thinking this will be mainly a rainy and windy storm for us Wednesday Night into Thursday.
