LAUREL, Del.- The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office is investigating a weekend fire that severely damaged a vacant structure in Laurel.

Officials say the fire broke out about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of East 6th Street. Firefighters from Delmar, Sharptown, Blades, Georgetown and Gumboro assisted the Laurel Fire Department in putting out the flames.

No injuries were reported in the blaze.

Total fire loss is estimated at $200,000.

The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
