BEAR, Del. (AP) - Delaware State police have arrested a man they say grabbed a trooper's gun while he was being arrested on a drug charge.

It happened last week at the Fox Run Shopping Center in Bear. Authorities say two troopers and a Probation and Parole officer saw a man engage in a drug transaction.

The officers stopped the man as he drove on Pulaski Highway. Authorities say he refused to get out of the car. Officials say as the troopers pulled the man from his car, he grabbed one trooper's gun and tried to pull it from the holster.

One trooper shocked the man with an electronic device.

Thirty-six-year-old Paul Walker of New Castle is charged with attempting to remove a firearm from possession of a law enforcement officer and other offenses.
