MILLTOWN, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a husband and wife accused of robbing an upstate gas station late last month.
Troopers said that shortly before midnight April 30, 29-year-old Matthew Drupieski, of Wilmington, sneaked into the Valero on Mckennans Church Road while the 23-year-old clerk was cleaning the parking lot. Police said he hid inside the business while his wife, 29-year-old Randy Drupieski, lured the clerk inside to buy cigarettes, then left the store before completing the purchase.
Authorities said Matthew Drupieski then emerged, wearing a mask and armed with a knife. Troopers said the clerk gave him cash, and he fled.
Troopers arrested Randi Drupieski on May 13 and charged her with first-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy. She was released after posting $21,000 secured bail.
Matthew Drupieski surrendered on May 23 and is charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited. He was released after posting $57,000 secured bail.
