PHOENIX, Md. (AP) - Federal officials say they found about 500 pounds of marijuana and 5 kilograms of cocaine at a home north of Baltimore with containers used to ship the drugs from Arizona.
Drug Enforcement Agency officials say agents searched a home in northern Baltimore County earlier this week after intercepting a conversation that led them to believe resident Harold Byrd was selling drugs.
According to court documents, agents had been tracking Byrd for some time using a court-authorized tracking device.
Officials say they found the cocaine in a workroom of the Phoenix, Md., home and the marijuana in 73 black plastic containers.
They say investigator also seized three handguns, an AK-47 and four sets of body armor.
Harold and Joseph Byrd have been charged with possession and intent to distribute drugs.
