MILTON, Del. - The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a fire that damaged a mobile home.
Investigators say it happened in the 17000 block of Petty John Road around 7:35 a.m. Sunday.
The Milton Vol. Fire Company, assisted by Lewes and Georgetown fire companies, responded to put the fire out.
Fire investigators say one person was inside at the time of the fire. According to the Fire Marshal's Office, that person was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during an assault, which is being investigated by the Delaware State Police.
The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation.
Investigators say total damage to the mobile home were estimated at $5,000.
