DELAWARE - The Department of Delaware Military Order is trying to reconnect a lost Purple Heart Medal with the family of a soldier killed in action during the Korean war. The Purple Heart Medal, earned by PFC John H. Poore of the U.S. Army, was found in Milford, Delaware. PFC Poore was from Wilmington, Delaware.
On November 24, 1951, he was killed in action while fighting the enemy in Korea. PFC Poore was assigned to the 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division
